Setting the Standards.

Through our partnerships with other industry leaders, we have pioneered some of the leading standards for homecare and hospice. Together, OCS HomeCare and DecisionHealth developed the highly recognized HomeCare Elite^™, a compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the U.S. Along with key hospice vendors, OCS HomeCare founded the Hospice Leaders Project (HLP), which was established to create a standardized data set that will facilitate meaningful benchmark comparisons for the hospice market.

Additionally, OCS HomeCare worked with the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) to create the Standard Quality Index (SQI), which MedPAC uses to measure the quality of care delivered by Medicare-certified home health agencies and advises Congress on the quality impact of changes to the prospective payment system (PPS). The SQI was further enhanced to create the Standardized Outcome Index (SOI) that is utilized through OCS reports by homecare agencies to track overall quality performance and reported externally by many publically traded homecare companies during their earnings calls.
